Welcome to L9, here are a few short videos to get you up to speed so you know what to expect. Watch these videos before you come in for your first class.
1. Start with the light drills to keep safe.
L9 Coaches are here to guide you and help you pick light versions of the exercises. They might look silly, but use them to slowly learn technique and stay safe. Always remember safety comes first!
2. Bookings are Essential
It is important to book classes so we know if you are coming. We may send you updates about the class you’ve booked in to including cancellation notices. Only those who have booked in will receive notifications. Book your classes using the L9 App. (https://app.l9.com.au)
3. The floor is sacred, let's keep it clean.
Pop your shoes off when you arrive, try to keep floors as clean as possible, especially the mats we crawl and lie on.
4. The best days / times to train
Not all days and times are equal! Watch this video to get some insights on the best days and times to train.
5. L9 is a community
We value support and teamwork. Training with others is about helping each other succeed. Be a good member, contribute and be willing to be supported.
6. Can I do this just for fitness?
Many members of our community do L9 for fitness purposes. Something less boring than cardio, HIIT and gym work. The Fitness Class is the best class for you, and is a gym workout replacement. If you’re doing the Fitness Class, you won’t need to do anything else.
7. How to get good at Calisthenics
Want to take your skills to the next level? Spend lots of time at the Fitness class. That’ s right… Fitness! That’s where you develop your strength and mobility. Discover drills that are appropriate for you and apply them in our fitness training.
8. Secret Tip for the best results
This is what I do when I train at L9, I work at a lower intensity e.g. 50%-70% but I attempt to train as frequently as possible.
